About

Welcome to Saint Joseph Villa, a sponsored ministry of the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Philadelphia

Founded in France in 1650 to tend to the physical, social and spiritual needs of “every dear neighbor,” the Sisters defined their ministry as “any spiritual or corporal work of mercy of which woman is capable.” The charism or special mission of the Congregation is to “live and work so that all people may be united with God and with one another” (Constitutions 16).

This spirit and legacy inform the life and ministry of all who live and work at Saint Joseph Villa in Flourtown, Pennsylvania. Our residents benefit from dedicated care by a full complement of physicians and health care providers who bring their services to the Villa. These include cardiologists, dentists, podiatrists, dermatologists, audiologists, and more.

These highly trained professionals provide a person-centered approach tailored to the needs of individual residents in our short-term rehab and long-term skilled care, respite care, and hospice care.

Why Donate

The Maxims of the Sisters of Saint Joseph are short sayings of wisdom given to our first Sisters but meant for all persons who aspire to make a difference in the world.

Live detached from others' opinions of you. Rejoice in the gifts of others.
